Queen Dolce Dramatical Murder: Reconnct Cocktail Event

So I will be adding posts about different things I did in Japan. This post is about my visit to Queen Docle, a bar where the servers are all crossplaying women who are also fujoshi and enjoy talking about anime and BL. When I visited however though it was the last day of their official Dramatical Murder cocktail event.

Follow the break for break down of the drinks, atmosphere and photos!

A giant Aoba to greet you in.

The bar was quite normal sized for a Japanese bar but it was decorated to be themed with DMMD. I don't know what the bar looked like normally but the walls were covered in some of the CG backgrounds. They had a big TV that was playing the OPs also and the music was different background music from the game. One one of the walls people were free to draw or write messages on post it notes to put on the wall. There were tables to the side for groups and then seats for singles by the bar. As I was a single I sat at the bar. While waiting outfit I was talking with one of the workers there who spoke quite good english and told me she has visited the UK also. She gave me a menu and asked if I can read the drinks, I said I could read some of them and she put on the english names for me. Ordering in Japan is a bit different I found and here you ordered your drinks before hand and because it was pretty busy and lots of girls lining up I was asked to order while waiting for a seat. I ordered 4 drinks: Virus, Ren, Noiz and the special option of the day I picked was one called Aoba&Aoba&Ren. The staff member was very excited to here me say Virus and a lot of the girls in the que were also pretty impressed by the english pronunciation. She also got me to say 'Final Fantasy' which was pretty funny.

I sat down at the bar next to another girl who was sitting alone. I talked with some of the staff but my Japanese is pretty bad speaking wise. I then started up conversation with the girl sitting next to me and we talked about various BL and anime we like.
Anyway onto my drinks! After my 4 drinks I saw what the Koujaku one looked like and also decided to get that. You could get the drinks with either alcohol or no alcohol. I got mine with alcohol though.
First couple of drinks:
Left: Noiz's drink was a drink and a shot. You poured the shot into the main drink to represent the bad end. Quite tasty.
Right: Empty but that was Aoba&Aoba&Ren. It came with the main drink and two different coloured shots. I think each shot you pour in was to represent the two sides of Aoba.

Virus: A main drink with another side shot that was placed on a snake skin piece of fabric. The drink was quite clear and then pouring in the shot made it dark red. It wasn't my favourite to taste but I had to have my favourite character.

Koujaku: The prettiest drink!

Ren: I loved the colours in this drink and it was really nice and fruity.

Trip: I didn't have this drink but saw it being made. It was very sugary and really fits into his section in Reconnect.

All my drinks together!

Overall the drinks were all super interesting and really pretty. Each one was about 1000 yen, a bit expensive for a drink but seeing as it was a special event I was happy to pay and for each drink you got to put your hand in a lucky dip to get special badges. You didn't keep the decorations and the staff were super busy. I can imagine on a more quiet evening they would be more up for talking and more relaxed.

Couple more photos of the bar and other drinks:

Overall if I was to visit Japan again I'd def be visiting Queen Docle again. The drinks were alcoholic but even after 5 I was pretty okay and only mildly tipsy/drunk. I guess because the cocktails are for a women audience they are a bit weaker. Each drink reflects each character well and I like how some of them have ways to create the bad ends.

The special badges I got! You get them through lucky dip. I got a duplicate of Trip and gave it to my friend. I was really happy to get Aoba and a set of Virus and Trip though.
